摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reach the charging base by using the power of a battery efficiently to a predetermined lower limit residual capacity. <P>SOLUTION: The battery charge controller includes a required energy estimation unit 140 which estimates the energy required for a vehicle to run from the present location to the charging base, a required power estimation unit 141 which estimates the power required for actual run, a target residual capacity setting unit 142 which sets up the target residual capacity of a battery 4 that is charged with the power generated from a power generation electric motor 2, and a generation power control unit 143 which controls the power generation electric motor 2.
