<p>The invention relates to a pair of cutting pliers (1) such as centre cutters or side cutters, having an articulated region (4), wherein grips (2, 3) are formed on one side of the articulated region (4) and jaws (5, 6), which form a free end of the pliers (1) and have cutting edges (7, 8) facing each other are formed on the other side of the articulated region (4), wherein the cutting edges (7, 8) are formed continuously as far as a point-side end region of the jaws (5, 6) and are hardened. In order to design a pair of pliers as stated above in such a manner that a break in a cutting edge in an end region does not occur as far as possible, the cutting edges (7, 8) are formed with a lower hardness in the end region on the point side than in an adjacent section on the articulated region side.</p> |
