PURPOSE: An ice breaker using air bubbles and an ice breaking method thereby are provided to enable an efficient ice breaking work with low driving force when the bow portion of the ice breaker breaks the ice. CONSTITUTION: An ice breaker using air bubbles comprises multiple holes9100), multiple first nozzles (200), a second nozzle (300), a guide member (400), and a compressor (500). The holes are formed on both surfaces of the bow portion of the ice breaker. The first nozzles are connected to the holes. The second nozzle is connected to the first nozzle.
