PURPOSE:To easily diagnose the anomaly in an ignition circuit by installing a self diagnosis circuit which catches the ignition-timing of an ignition signal and forms a clock signal and catches the voltage on the primary side of an ignition coil and forms a reset signal. CONSTITUTION:When an ignition signal is outputted from a microcomputer 1, electric conduction starts in an ignition-coil driving part 2, and the ignition signal A varies from Hi to Low at an optimum ignition timing. After an induction voltage is induced on the primary side of an ignition coil 3, and said voltage is wave-form shaping-processed in a wave-form processing part 7, the flip-flop of a self diagnosis circuit 5 is reset, and the output of the flip-flop becomes Low. When anomaly is generated in the ignition system, a reset signal can not be obtained, and the flip-flop becomes Hi. Therefore, the anomaly of the ignition system can be diagnosed by only the judgement that the output of the self-diagnosis circuit 5 is Hi or Low, and the burden for software can be reduced. |
