PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of offering excellent input and output characteristics in low-temperature environments.SOLUTION: An electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a sheet-type collector, and an active material layer that includes a first layer formed on the collector and a second layer formed on the first layer. The first layer contains a carbon material, the second layer contains a lithium-titanium complex oxide, and the lithium-titanium complex oxide is coated with an electron-conducting material. The use of the electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery allows a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery to achieve an excellent output characteristic while maintaining the input characteristic without inhibiting the diffusion of Li ions.
