PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make smooth image display during zooming compatible with suppression of reduction in resolution of an image to be displayed under zooming stop, in an imaging apparatus and a control method for controlling a segmenting position of an image in accordance with a zooming position.SOLUTION: During zooming, segmenting positions are determined and set successively for a unit smaller than a unit of one pixel. When zooming is stopped, if a segmenting position under zooming stop does not have a value for the unit of one pixel, the segmenting position is moved to have the value for the unit of one pixel. |
