PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nitrogen-containing cobalt alloy which improves mechanical strength by melting an appropriate amount of nitrogen into a cobalt alloy.SOLUTION: A molten cobalt alloy is held in a nitrogen gas atmosphere at a pressure selected in the range of 2.5-62.5 kPa for a time period until the nitrogen concentration in the cobalt alloy reaches the target value. The pressure of the nitrogen gas atmosphere, a holding time, and data of the nitrogen concentration at the melting temperature of the cobalt alloy are preliminarily acquired, and the pressure of the nitrogen gas atmosphere and the holding time for the target nitrogen concentration are obtained. |
