PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor in which evaporation of oil is prevented to secure the rolling property and durability of a motor.SOLUTION: A spindle motor 100 of the present invention comprises: a shaft 110 having an upper thrust plate 111 on an upper side and a lower thrust plate 112 on a lower side; a sleeve 120 formed in a hollow cylindrical shape, so as to be supported in a rotatable manner by the shaft 110; a hub 130 having a cylindrical portion 131 fixed on an upper end portion of the sleeve 120, which elongates downward, a disc portion 132 extending outward from the cylindrical portion 131, and a skirt portion 133 that elongates vertically downward from a rim of the disc portion 132; and a base 140 having a support portion 141 in a cylindrical shape, formed in the middle, which elongates in such a manner as to overlap with the cylindrical portion 131 of the hub 130 with a fine gap therebetween, which supports the sleeve 120 using a hollow portion formed in the middle of the support portion 141. |
