PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for enhancing the low temperature start-up of a fuel cell, by reducing the amount of water remaining in the fuel cell after finishing operation.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 100 includes a purge processing section 21 which performs purge processing after finishing operation of a fuel cell 10. The purge processing section 21 detects the outside air temperature and the temperature of the fuel cell 10, and then sets a threshold for battery based on these two temperatures. As a determination processing for determining whether or not the purge processing can be performed, a first determination processing for comparing the outside air temperature and a predetermined threshold is performed, and if the outside air temperature goes below the threshold, a second determination processing for comparing the temperature of the fuel cell 10 with the threshold for battery is performed. If the temperature of the fuel cell 10 goes below the threshold for battery in the second determination processing, the purge processing section 21 performs purge processing. |
