PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strain detection device capable of accurately detecting strain with simple constitution.SOLUTION: The strain detection device can measure strain of a body 10 to be measured whose strain measurement surface 11 is plane, and includes a strain detection sensor 100 and a sensor pressing member 200. The sensor pressing member includes a pressing member body 210, an elastic body 220 and a fastener 230. The pressing member body is formed with a sensor engagement part 211 for engaging the strain detection sensor and an elastic body storage part 212. The pressing member body and strain detection sensor are fastened to the strain measurement surface of the body to be measured through the fastener so that the strain detection sensor is sandwiched between the strain measurement surface of the body to be measured and the pressing member body, the strain detection sensor is pressed against the strain measurement surface of the body to be measured with certain pressing force by utilizing elastic force, and the strain detection device is fitted to the body to be measured so that the strain measurement surface of the body to be measured and the pressing member body holds a predetermined gap. |
