PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase of a memory capacity when storing variable length data by distributing to a plurality of queues.SOLUTION: Among blocks provided in a memory 12 corresponding to the plurality of queues, by storing packet data into a block corresponding to a queue designated in queue input instruction information, if an idle area in the block reaches a predetermined lower limit threshold or the storage amount in the block reaches a predetermined upper limit threshold, a buffer controller 11 connects an idle block to the block concerned, thus forming a connection block, and continues storing packet data into the idle block. On completion of reading out the packet data from the block corresponding to the queue designated in queue output instruction information, the buffer controller 11 releases the block as an idle block, and continues reading out the packet data from the connection block connected to the block. |
