PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for an elevator, which protects a passenger car from an impact caused by an earthquake, etc.SOLUTION: The protective device for the elevator has an accelerometer (10d) and an impact attenuator (10b and 10c). The accelerometer (10d) is attached to the passenger car (11) of the elevator to detect lateral acceleration. The impact attenuator (10b and 10c) includes a bag body (10b) which expands by filling a gas, is attached to an outer face of the passenger car (11), and inflates the bag body (10b) when the acceleration detected by the accelerometer (10d) exceeds a given threshold. |
