PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a hot water supply temperature from temporarily dropping because water staying in a pipe between a backup heat source machine and a mixer is mixed and supplied, when switching from an outlet for hot water from a tank in which supplied water is mixed with hot water from a hot water storage tank to an outlet for hot water from a water heater in which supplied water is mixed with hot water heated by and gained from the backup heat source machine in the course of hot water supply.SOLUTION: A hot water storage system includes a circulation route 43 branching from a point close to a mixer 23 of a first pipe 61 from a hot water supply connection port of the backup heat source machine 70 to the mixer 23 and converging to an intermediate point of a second pipe 62 for supplying water to the water supply port of the backup heat source machine 70, a circulation pump located at an intermediate point to feed water from the first pipe side to the second pipe side, and a check valve 45 for preventing a reverse flow of supplied water to the circulation pump. When switching an outlet for hot water from the tank to an outlet for hot water from the water heater, the circulation pump 44 is operated and the backup heat source machine 70 is operated to heat water in the first pipe up to a high temperature prior to switching the outlet for hot water from the water heater. |
