PURPOSE: A seawater desalination and a hydrogen peroxide manufacturing method using a biological electrochemical cell are provided to not only to manufacture hydrogen peroxide but also to achieve seawater desalination through a desalinization. CONSTITUTION: In seawater desalination and a hydrogen peroxide manufacturing method using a biological electrochemical cell; a biological electrochemical cell includes a first reaction bath, a second reaction bath, an ion-exchange membrane, and an external circuit. The first reaction bath includes a first electrolyte including a substrate and an anode. The second reaction bath includes a second electrolyte in which air or oxygen is supplied to a cathode. The ion-exchange membrane separates the first electrolyte from the second electrolyte. The external circuit connects the anode with the cathode. The anode includes a first support and an electrochemical activity microorganism layer equipped in the surface of the first support, is dipped in the first electrolyte. The cathode includes a second support and an electrochemical catalyst layer equipped in the surface of the second support, and is dipped in the second electrolyte. The electrochemical activity microorganism generates an electron and a hydrogen ion by disassembling the substrate, and the electron moves to the cathode according to the external circuit. The hydrogen ion passes the ion exchange membrane and moves to the second electrolyte. |
