PURPOSE: A projectile including a variable cowl is provided to reduce consumption of energy by suppressing aerodynamic loads because the variable cowl which moves according to movement of a gimbal engine is used. CONSTITUTION: A projectile(200) including a variable cowl comprises a projectile body(1), a gimbal engine(2), variable cowls(3,3'), and a flight control device. The variable cowl is separated from the gimbal engine at a minimum clearance distance and moves according to movement of a gimbal of the gimbal engine. The cowl in the opposite direction moves to the inside of an external diameter of the projectile as much as a ratio where a part of the variable cowl is out of the external diameter of the projectile. Each various cowl moves as much as an operation angle which is a minimum movement unit. |
