PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can prevent increase of a processing load in the image forming device and transmit appropriately converted data, even when many host computers are connected to the image forming device via a network.SOLUTION: An image forming device is connected to a network to which host computers are connected, converts image data described by a PDL that is transmitted from the host computer into print data in a bitmap format, prints the print data on a recording medium, at the same time, generates response data in a TIFF or PDF format from the print data, and transmits the response data to the host computer. The image forming device generates the response data from the print data, and performs control for not transmitting the response data to the host computer until storage means completely stores the response data. |
