To provide a compact imaging lens. An image lens constituted from, in order from the object side, a first lens group (G1), a stop (St), and a second lens group (G2). The first lens group (G1) is constituted from at most three lenses comprising a negative lens disposed nearest to the object side and a positive lens disposed closer to the subject side than said negative lens. The second lens group (G2) is constituted from at most five lenses comprising: a cemented lens in which two lenses, one positive and one negative, are cemented; and a single lens disposed closer to the subject side than the cemented lens and having a positive refractive power. The imaging lens satisfies conditional formulae for: the Abbe number and refractive index with respect to the d-line of the positive lens and negative lens disposed nearest to the object side of the first lens group (G1); the Abbe number with respect to the d-line of the positive and negative lenses that form the cemented lens in the second lens group (G2), and the refractive index with respect to the d-line of the single lens that forms the second lens group (G2). |
