PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing ivabradine (I) and its addition salts with a pharmaceutically acceptable acid.SOLUTION: In the process, a compound represented by formula (V) is subjected to reductive amination reaction in the presence of an iron-based catalyst and in the presence or absence of a trimethylamine N-oxide under a hydrogen pressure in an organic solvent or in a mixture of organic solvents.
