<p>Provided are a codec negotiation method and device. The codec negotiation method comprises: receiving a first supported codec list which is sent by a call transfer node to a call termination node and comprises a codec supported by both a call origination node and the call transfer node; comparing the first supported codec list with a second supported codec list to obtain a first codec and a second codec, wherein the second supported codec list includes a codec supported by the call termination node, the first codec is within the second supported codec list, the second codec is within the first supported codec list, and the first codec is compatible with the second codec; setting the first codec as a bearer codec of the call termination node of this call, and setting the second codec as a preferred codec of this call; and sending the preferred codec to the call origination node via the call transfer node.</p> |
