<p>The invention concerns an improved method for recovery of elemental sulphur, with improved capture of co-produced carbon dioxide (CO2), if any, from a gas stream containing hydrogen sulphide (H2S), wherein the H2S is converted with air by chemical-looping combustion into thermal energy, steam and SO2, and wherein the SO2 so produced is converted into elemental sulphur.</p> |
