ROLLING MILL AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A roller and a control method thereof are provided to simply and efficiently prevent a wave defect from being generated on a rolled strip by the shape imbalance of a rolling roll. CONSTITUTION: A control method of a roller includes: a step (S100) of calculating a ratio between a rolling load measured by a load cell for measuring the rolling load and a force applied by a hydraulic cylinder applying a bender force in the roller when a wave defect does not exist on a strip; a step (S200) of measuring the rolling load using the load cell; and a step (S300) of calculating the bender force using the measured rolling road and the calculated ratio, and then controlling the hydraulic cylinder in order to apply the bender force on the work roll shaft of the roller.
