PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve an input burden on a user caused by the need to enter a password with a predetermined number of characters to release a lock on an information processing device every time it becomes locked.SOLUTION: An information processing device having a lock function for restricting user operations comprises: a lock setting unit for switching the information processing device to a locked state when a user operation has not been inputted for a predetermined period of time or longer; a lock releasing unit to release the locked state in response to the input of a predetermined first password; and a changing unit for changing the number of characters to be inputted in the first password to release the locked state in response to usage of the information processing device.
