PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pressure sensitive adhesive having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution in combination, and to provide a pressure sensitive adhesive, particularly a polyacrylic pressure sensitive adhesive, produced therefrom.SOLUTION: Astonishingly, a polymer having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution, particularly a polyacrylate having a high molecular weight and a narrow molecular weight distribution, can be excellently produced by an RAFT method in the presence of a diradical initiator to thermally produce a diradical to be then cyclized. The polymer is suitable for use as a pressure sensitive adhesive having a shear strength. |
