PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control a fuel injection amount by suppressing pressure fluctuations in pressure accumulating piping at the start of fuel injection.SOLUTION: A fuel supply system is of a single-injection multi-pressure feed type in which first fuel pressure feed and second fuel pressure feed following the first fuel pressure feed are executed by a fuel pump 20 between previous fuel injection and upcoming fuel injection in an internal combustion engine. An ECU 50 calculates, based on target fuel pressure for the fuel pressure of high-pressure fuel to be pressure-fed from the fuel pump 20, a target pressure feed amount of the fuel to be pressure-fed from the fuel pump 20, and determines whether it is necessary to set both the first fuel pressure feed and the second fuel pressure feed to full pressure feed based on the calculated target pressure feed amount. When it is not necessary to set both the first fuel pressure feed and the second fuel pressure feed to the full pressure feed, the fuel pressure feed by the fuel pump 20 is performed in such a manner that the pressure feed amount of the first fuel pressure feed is larger than that of the second fuel pressure feed. |
