RESIN-COATED CARRIER AND DEVELOPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated carrier capable of suppressing an increase in temperature of developer in a developing machine and improving stability of the charge amount, and developer using the carrier; and to provide developer capable of suppressing an increase in temperature inside the developing machine when used in a high-temperature area to suppress toner aggregation inside the developing machine.SOLUTION: A resin-coated carrier comprises a resin coating layer provided on a surface of a carrier core material particle; the apparent density of the carrier core material particle is in a range of 1.6 to 2.0 g/cm; and the carrier core material particle has an air gap, and contains a latent heat storage body having the endothermic peak temperature in a range of 27 to 40°C and the fusion energy &Dgr;H of 150 J/g or more in the air gap.
