PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a molded pulp container which has a smooth outer surface, water resistance and oil resistance, and which allows beautiful printing thereon.SOLUTION: The method for producing a molded pulp container includes: the sheet-forming step of covering a forming mold having a plurality of suction holes with a net body corresponding to the shape of the forming mold, feeding pulp slurry from the net body side, sucking the pulp slurry from the forming mold, and thereby forming a molded pulp intermediate product on the net body; and then the successive steps of dewatering, drying, and heat-pressing the molded pulp intermediate product. The forming mold is formed so as to be protruded outward. The inner surface of the molded pulp intermediate product is formed while being in contact with the surface of the net body. |
