Provided are: a relay device capable of substituting routing tables in order to be compatible with a variety of relay variations, and capable of being compatible with a substituted, different routing table; a communications harness including the relay device; and a communications system including the relay device. The relay device stores a routing program (38) for a CPU to execute relay processing, in a flash memory (35) wherein information can be overwritten; and the routing table (37) for specifying a relay destination during relay processing. Even if a routing table (37) is replaced by a routing table (40), the CPU that executes processing on the basis of the routing program (38) is configured so as to perform a specific processing procedure for reading the routing table (37) or the routing table (40), thereby making the relay device compatible with different relay variations.
