PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide body capable of transmitting information with high efficiency and sufficient visibility and adding decoration and design to information on a character and a pattern.SOLUTION: A light guide body consists of a two-layer laminated structure, and a light guide plate (A) layer 3 formed of a transparent material desirably containing colorant comprises: an incident surface 5 of a light guide plate in which parallel light from a light source 1 enters; side surfaces reflecting the light emitted from the light source except the incident surface 5 of the light guide plate; a rear surface having a concave shaped modeling part 9; and a surface transmitting light reflected in the modeling part. The thickness of the light guide plate (A) layer 3 is reduced along an incident direction of the light source. The modeling part consists of an aggregation of shapes constituted of a contour surface and other surfaces. When &phgr; represents a base angle between the contour surface in the incident surface and the rear surface of the layer (A), and &thetas; represents a critical angle of the transparent material of the layer (A), the base angle &phgr; satisfies the following formula (c), (90-&thetas;)/2<&phgr;<90-&thetas; (c). A light guide plate (B) layer 4 having a surface adjacent to the rear surface of the layer (A) desirably contains colorant and/or a light diffusing agent and has a rear surface on which reflection processing is performed. |
