The present invention relates to a breakwater. The breakwater includes: at least one first unit assembly including a plurality of globular bodies and polyhedral bodies which are accommodated within a first frame, wherein each of the globular bodies and polyhedral bodies has a hollow part therein and a plurality of through holes allowing the hollow part to communicate with the outside; and a plurality of second unit assemblies including at least one globular body or polyhedral body which is accommodated within a second frame, wherein the globular body or polyhedral body has a hollow part therein and a plurality of through holes allowing the hollow part to communicate with the outside, and the plurality of second unit assemblies are stacked on the first unit assembly; and a cover plate disposed to cover the uppermost unit assembly of the stacked second unit assemblies. Thus, the breakwater blocks high waves and freely moves seawater from a bay to open water and from the open water to the bay in order to prevent the bay from being contaminated. |
