PURPOSE: A light-emitting device suitable for a backlight unit is provided to include a light-transmitting matrix and quantum dots dispersed in the light-transmitting matrix. CONSTITUTION: A light-emitting device(100) includes a light guide plate(130) capable of generating short-wavelength excitation light in order to excite quantum dots, a quantum dot film(120) arranged on at least one side among the sides of the light guide plate, and a light source(110) generating excitation light and positioned to enable the excitation light to be incident on the quantum dot film. |
