METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR INDENTIFYING ELECTRIC APPLIANCES

PURPOSE: A method automatically identifying an electric power device and a system thereof are provided to automatically identify electrical power equipment without inputting a kind of an electrical power device which is connected to an electrical outlet. CONSTITUTION: An electric power device identification system comprises a smart tag (10) which is installed in a consumer's house, and measures the amount of electricity which is hourly consumed in an arbitrary electric power device which is connected to an electric outlet; and a control center (30) receives the amount of electricity which is hourly consumed in the arbitrary electric power device, and measured by a smart meter (20), and compares the received amount of electricity hourly consumed in the arbitrary electric power device with the stored amount of electricity consumed on a hourly basis to identify the kind of the arbitrary electrical power.
