PURPOSE: A device for clamping a machine tool is provided to save a manufacturing cost by clamping or unclamping a collet with a pulley and a belt directly connected in a driving unit such as a motor through excluding a complicated toggle structure. CONSTITUTION: A device for clamping a machine tool comprises a collet (100), a spindle body (200), a cap (300), a pulley (400), and a driving unit (500). The pulley is connected to the cap. The pulley is rotated to the first direction by the rotation of the pulley and the cap moves the collet to the first position. The cap is connected to the spindle body for moving the collet to the second position when the pulley rotates to the second direction.
