An air conditioner is provided to reduce the number of components by equipping a remote controller detachably attached to a front surface of the air conditioner. An air conditioner comprises a main body(20) and a remote controller(100). The remote controller is able to be attached to a front surface of the main body as a display for the main body and to be detached from the main body to allow a user to control the main body from a distance. The main body includes a cabinet(30) and a front panel(60). The front panel is attached to the front part of the cabinet. The remote controller is attached to the front panel. The remote controller includes an input unit, a case, and a clip. A user inputs operation commands to the main body through the input unit. The case displays operation information on the main body. The clip causes the case of the remote controller to be attached to the main body or to be detached from the main body. |
