<p>PURPOSE: An imaging device, a data processing device, and a control method are provided to update face images saved in each device by sharing the face images saved in each device only. CONSTITUTION: A CPU (Central Processing Unit) determines whether or not the full name of a target face dictionary is null data when the face dictionary about specific faces is not updated by a second memory (S903, S904). If the full name is the null data, the CPU records the full name in the face dictionary (S905). The CPU memorizes the target face dictionary in camera storage through a communication unit (S906). The CPU moves the target face dictionary to the second memory from the first memory (S907).
