PURPOSE: Titanium-zirconium based hydrogen storage alloy is provided to extend the range of design of high-performance hydrogen storage alloy by employing non-stoichiometric composition ratio. CONSTITUTION: Titanium-zirconium based hydrogen storage alloy comprises titanium, zirconium, vanadium, chrome, manganese, aluminum, and carbon amounting to the following formula, (Ti_0.9 Zr_0.1 V_0.25-X Cr_0.27 Mn_1.55 Al_x) + Ywt% C. In the formula, X and Y are respective atom fractions of alloy components and satisfy 0<=X<=0.2 and 0<=Y<= 1. |
