The filtering device (100) has a portafilter element (10) with a screen cavity (11), in which a filter element (12) is arranged. A pressure increasing unit is formed downstream of the portafilter element, which has a bypass channel (31) that runs from an outlet channel (22) into a housing (20) or an extension channel to the screen cavity located in backwashing position. A fluid pump (32) is arranged in the bypass channel, where an energy storage device opens into the bypass channel. A bypass return channel (36) runs from the bypass channel to the downstream side of the screen cavity.
