<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding, the method that can suppress generation of burrs to the minimum while maintaining a good forming property without decreasing fluidity of a prepreg in a press molding of a reinforcing fiber and resin. <P>SOLUTION: A method is provided for manufacturing a molding using an insert by arranging a prepreg containing a reinforcing fiber of mean fiber length 1-100 mm and resin, inside a mold having the insert satisfying conditions (1)-(3) and having a closed cavity structure and by pressing the prepreg. The insert includes: (1) having a heating mechanism; (2) operating together with the mold at the mold closure; and (3) having a clearance with the mold at the press is 1/100-10/100 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
