Uses an elastically deformable part in a fiber deformable armature which is subjected to a torsion movement. The actuator exerts fluid pressure. It includes motors (2) to furnish a rotational movement and fluid seals which are deformed by a rotational movement provided by the motors. The fluid seals include a section (3) which can be elastically deformed. The motors and this section are arranged so that it is twisted in response to the rotational movement. The effect of the twisting movement is to exert a pressure on the fluid. The elastic section returns to its original state in the absence of a rotational movement. The section is a flexible envelope (7) confined in a deformable armature (8) which includes fibers (11) having a low resistance to torsion and flexion. These fibers are submitted to the twisting movement.
