<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which exhibits a high emission luminance, and operates with a low driving voltage, and a luminaire and a display device, each having the element incorporated therein. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element comprises at least one compound expressed by the general formula (6). In the formula, R61 and R62 represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, but never bond to each other to form a ring, n61 and n62 represent an integer of 3 or 4; n63 and n64 represent an integer of 1 or 2; each A is expressed by the general formula (A), but the A's may be identical to or different from each other; X11 and X12 represent a nitrogen atom or CR13; and R11, R12 and R13 represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent group, but never bond to each other to form a ring.
