<p>Polypropylene, a major proportion of which is in isotactic form, is compressed, melted, heated to 90-140 DEG C. above its melting-point, which is of the order of 160-170 DEG C., and spun into filaments, preferably by use of a screw extruder and an associated spinneret. Up to 25 per cent by weight of the polypropylene may be in atactic form. Examples are given.</p> |
