<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform distributed retrieval for a client device such as a mobile communication device, and offer a product recommendation service. <P>SOLUTION: A distributed computer network is constructed using JAVA(R) etc. A client application residing in a client device examines a tuple space for services, finds the services, and then loads and executes a user interface code embedded in selected service objects, allowing a user to interact with the services without a required prior knowledge of what the services do or how they function.
