<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal fitting for a wooden building which enables good binding work of a connecting shaft and a wedge at a construction site and can secure stable construction quality. <P>SOLUTION: A metal fitting for a wooden building which reinforces a butting connection part between a fixed-side structure part (1) and a mounting-side structure part (3) includes: a connecting shaft (11); a cylindrical arm part (21); a through hole (22) formed in the lengthwise center of the cylindrical arm part (21); a fastening one-sided notch part (31) formed in the connecting shaft (11) and having an engaging inclined plane (32); a wedge moving member (35) having a pressing inclined plane (36) slidably contacting with the engaging inclined plane (32); and a positioning retaining part (43). The metal fitting for a wooden building is formed by pulling the connecting shaft (11) by cooperation of the pressing inclined plane (36) and the engaging inclined plane (32).
