<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for securing a document. <P>SOLUTION: The method for securing a document includes a step for printing a distribution of dots on a document for bringing about an unpredictable fluctuation of at least one geometrical property of printed dots in each dot as a result of an unpredictable unknown element in printing, and a step for generating a distribution of dots in which dots of the distribution have at least one geometric property fluctuating among dots and the geometrical amplitude of a generated fluctuation has the degree of magnitude of the unpredictable fluctuation before the printing step. In an embodiment, in the dot distribution, at least half of dots of the distribution are not apposed horizontally with respect to four other dots of the dot distribution in the generation step, and at least one dimension of at least a part of dots of the dot distribution is the degree of the same magnitude as an average value to the absolute value of the unpredictable fluctuation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
