<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color prediction method which can predict a color of high precision on the basis of a colorimetric value of a patch formed so that a color material is not excessively given, and to provide a color conversion lookup table generating method, an image processing method and an image processor. <P>SOLUTION: A use limit value of a color material is set; a patch group is generated on a region with a temporary use limit value or below, in which a total value of color material use values in the combination of the previously determined color materials is set; the patch group is outputted to a medium; the patch group is color-measured; the virtual colorimetric value of a patch in a region exceeding the color material use limit value is estimated by an extrapolation operation on the basis of the colorimetric values of the respective patches whose colors are measured; and the color to the combination of the color material use values in a color space is predicted with an interpolation operation on the basis of the obtained colorimetric value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
