The purpose of the present invention is to provide a roller bearing cage which can easily be made more rigid, has decreased manufacturing costs, has simple accuracy control and dimensional control, and is in particular optimal for extra-large roller bearings, and to provide a method of manufacturing said roller bearing cage. This cage (1A) is shaped such that a pair of rings units (4, 6) spaced apart in the axial direction are connected by columns (5) in sliding contact with the outer circumferential surface of rollers (RA), and the cage (1A) comprises pocket holes (P) formed equidistantly in the circumferential direction in order to house and hold the rollers (RA) in the peripheral wall. A base body (2), which comprises columns (5) and one (4) of the ring units and which is provided with engaging protrusions (5A) on the end of the columns (5), and a linking body (3), which comprises the other (6) of the ring units and which is provided with engaging depressions (6A) that engage with the engaging protrusions (5A) of the columns (5), are produced as separate members from a blank comprising a cut steel plate, and the base body (2) and the linking body (3) are joined and fixed in a state in which the engaging protrusions (5A) of the columns (5) are engaged with the engaging depressions (6A) of the linking body (3). |
