The machining equipment is provided with: a bed (11); processing machines (12, 13) that are loaded on the bed (11) and perform mechanical processing on a workpiece (W); a cover (50) that covers the region (Q) of processing by the processing machines (12, 13); and a cover support member (6) that does not contact the bed (11) and supports the cover (50). The machining equipment also has a loader (2A) that holds the workpiece (W), runs along a rail (22), and conveys the workpiece (W) into and out of the processing machine (12).
