PURPOSE: A test device and method for a renewable energy source power converter are provided to simplify the test procedures by performing a test restricted to a control circuit. CONSTITUTION: A test processing part(110) sets up a test environment information for a control circuit test and generates simulation signal setting information corresponding to the set test environment information. A power conversion test part(150) is connected to a control circuit(25) and outputs a simulation signal based on the simulation signal setting information of the test processing part to the control circuit, and measures a control circuit output signal for the simulation signal and simulates power conversion. The test processing part generates a test result based on an output signal measurement result and simulation result of the power conversion test part and outputs the test result.
