PURPOSE: An error correction apparatus of a radar system and a method thereof are provided to efficiently and precisely correct a system error about the azimuth and distance of a radar by using the location information of multiple navigational marks and the location information of the radar. CONSTITUTION: An error correction apparatus of a radar system includes a database(310) in which at least two or more navigational marks and the location information of a radar are stored; a coordinate conversion and data pre-processor(320) which calculates a nominal azimuth and a nominal distance between each of the navigational marks and the radar by converting the location information of the navigational mark which is stored in the database into a radar-centered NED coordinate system; a system error estimating unit(340) which estimates the error information of the radar system by using the nominal distance, the nominal azimuth, and a model about a radar measurement value between each of the navigational mark and the radar; and a system error correction unit(350) which corrects the error of the radar system by using the error information of the estimated system.
