PURPOSE: A Xanthium strumarim-derived FT(Flowering locus T) gene is provided to regulate flowering time under a single condition, to develop a transgenic plant, and to shorten production period. CONSTITUTION: XsFTs(Xanthium strumarium Flowering locus T) protein which regulates flowering time has an amino acid sequences of sequence numbers 4-6. A gene encodes the protein. A recombinant vector contains the gene. A host cell is transformed by the recombinant vector. A method for regulating flowering time of a plant under a single condition comprises a step of transforming the recombinant vector into a plant cell. A composition for regulating flowering time of a plant under a single condition contains XsFTs gene with base sequences of sequence numbers 1-3.
