PURPOSE: An independent type display system for portable terminals is provided to install a connection module capable of connecting to an independent type display device in a portable terminal, thereby displaying the screens of the portable terminals using the independent display device. CONSTITUTION: An independent type display device(200) performs a function of a display device of a portable terminal by connecting to the portable terminal. The portable terminal includes an input port connected to a control unit, an output port, and a connection module(210). The connection module outputs a display signal, which is obtained through the input port, to the output port. The independent type display device is mounted on the output port of the connection module and displays a screen of the portable terminal based on the display signal outputted by the connection module.
